How to Make YouTube Videos

Make YouTube Videos

There are several steps that one must take once that person decides that they want to make YouTube videos. It’s more complicated than just hitting the record button on your video camera, uploading what you have, and then watching the views and favorites sky rocket over night.

You could put a random video on there, but if it’s not what anybody else is interested in, it’s going to go nowhere fast. Following, I will fill you on on some steps that you can take to make sure that what you’re posting is relevant to what people want to watch.

The first step in posting your YouTube video is to come with an idea of what kind of video you’re going to do. Create a video about something that you have a passion for. Whether that’s a song, a response to another video, reviews of books or movies, or even just recreating something from the past, decide what you’re going to record before doing anything else.

Once you’re done filming your video, you need to edit the footage. What I mean by that is cutting it up to make one amazing video. This means taking out the stuff that is unnecessary. If it interferes with the quality of your video or if the video doesn’t make sense without it then, of course, leave it. Do what you can, though to have just the most important, meaty part of the video.

Now that you’ve finished filming and editing your video, you need to optimize it so it can be YouTube-ready. Make sure you upload it in the original resolution with high bitrates and a squared ratio (like 1:1) so it will fit into the player properly. You also want to use the video in a supported file format (like mpeg or avi). Also, upload it with original quality, if you’re able.

Since everything is all set to go now, your next step is simply to upload the video. This is very simple to do if you have followed the parameters previously stated. There is an upload page from which you can select to upload multiple files or even record from a webcam. Here you will choose to select a file from your computer and once the upload begins, you can edit details of your video. Once it’s finished, you can share it.

That brings us to the final step of the process. Now that your video is complete and posted on your channel, you need to get help and get social. What I mean by that is, learn from your peers. What are the successful people doing and what are the unsuccessful doing? Follow the successful users and you will be successful as well. What I mean by getting social is that you need to find a community and share your channel. Get your name out there and people will view your video.

Since you’re now all set up on YouTube, and have even posted your first video, what you need to do is continue to create. You want to constantly be posting new information and new videos to keep your viewers and subscribers coming back for more. This aids in your success. If you have one awesome video, and then stop, people are going to quit coming to your page. Keep posting and the visitors will continue to thrive.
