Social Media marketing has quickly become a huge part of advertising different promotions or products for many businesses. Marketers have begun to provide social media campaigns through Twitter using their creative advertising talents and tools. These campaigns have steadily increased the popularity of many businesses by keeping the customers active and interested. Campaigns can have a huge impact on the business being promoted such as more brand awareness, increased sales, or huge gain of followers. Here are a few significant campaigns that have received a positive reaction from the community.
Nestle
Nestle ran a very successful campaign a couple years back promoting their products and also providing inspirational guidance for parents. This campaign produced tweets all across the web. Nestle included questions in their advertisements such as, “How do you stimulate your child’s mind?” This campaign gives the community an opportunity for opinions and feedback. This type of advertisement places the ad messaging in the hands of the users. Also, once an interested user clicks on the ad, it will transfer them to YouTube where they provide promotional videos, tips, and advice on parenting.
Jeep Puzzle
Another great example of a victorious Twitter campaign is the Jeep Puzzle created by Leo Burnett Iberia from Jeep. The campaign included an online puzzle using new Twitter accounts to promote their latest model for Jeep. Twitter users were required to follow each Twitter account in order to unlock clues to this puzzle. Each Twitter account created for this campaign was following another 12 Twitter accounts, that included a picture clue. The images provided were pictures of scenery only a Jeep can access. The process of this campaign became a great learning tool for new Twitter users to get the general idea of becoming a follower and provides a real understanding of the Twitter platform.
Radioshack
Radioshack has had previous experience experimenting with social media campaigns. Radioshack had the desire to create an active and personalized Twitter experience for users. One campaign that gained a huge audience was the Twitter promoted tweets product. This campaign included a sponsored tweet requesting users to post a picture of themselves with their hand stretched out towards the camera and a hashtag saying #ifihadsuperpowers. There was a substantial amount of feedback from this campaign because there was a chance to win a prize. Radioshack spent many hours adding a mask and cape to each photo and tweet the new photo back to the user. This was a successful campaign due to the combination of an interactive project and Radioshack using the Promoted Tweets product from Twitter.

If you start the campaign with creative tools and target the right audience, it can receive million of responses within the first day of posting. Furthermore, Twitter users enjoy the opportunity to participate in promotions for various companies in hopes to win some kind of reward.
