Every good web project starts with a certain amount of SEO, making a list with keywords that reflect real discussions regarding your problems and not necessarily what people should be actually looking for. Business research is also important since you need to know more about your clients in order to identify priorities and choose social properties.

Make people understand their responsibilities

Social media strategy also requires you to share responsibilities and train people to know more about interactive communication. One department of social media won’t be enough for the entire company. Giving employees some guidelines regarding this strategy and also teaching them skills will allow them to work free and autonomously. Platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter are quite new and the staff will need helpdesk support and training programs.

You should also focus on the networks that work best for you, and you can try using Google+ or Twitter, keeping in mind that a strategy planned for a longer time will have better results. B2B customers usually don’t use Facebook for work, but there are other ways to reach them, for example a blog.

Correct social media campaigns

Although a good social media campaign is not expensive at the moment, it will do some financial damage on the long term if it is not done correctly. Thus, you should focus on using a theme with multiple types of content (such as videos, white papers, posts and infographics). A good content will make people from different teams and countries to work for the same objective. You should also be reactive and keep the content up to date. In case something changes, especially if the articles contain brand names, industry news or blog stories, you should modify it so it still states the truth. Being reactive will mean even hiring other people just to be updated with the latest news.
